A Poem by Vanessa Bett

I am waiting for you.
You have missed the exit, surely.
Somewhere, you are looking in on me.

In the yellow haze of your apartment,
I've lost myself in you.
Yet I am only an hour and half from me.

You do not feel my gaze through this kodak memory.
You do not hear my pleas for a glimpse.
You are not here with me today.

I cannot call you tomorrow.
Yet I am still lost in you.
Lost to myself and lost in this regression.

Where are you today?
The exit is clearly marked.
You did not give me the oppurtunity at redemption.

Why did you come and go so quickly?
Do you need no permission?
You are violating my memories.

She has become an obsession.
Her lack of turmoil saddens me.
She is apathetic to your pain.

I will wait no longer.

Great poem i can feel the emotion i especially enjoy the phase:

"In the yellow haze of your apartment,
I've lost myself in you.
Yet I am only an hour and half from me.
You do not feel my gaze through this kodak memory..."
