Show Me The Way

Show Me The Way

A Poem by Vampire Heart

Show me the way through the shadows,

you know the ones,

where the light barely penetrates.

Milky and black like onyx rain falling

down there by the window pane.

Show me the way through to the light,

where life shines so very bright.

I want to walk along the sunlit shores

and let the waves kiss my toes.

Show me the way through the shadows,

I know the way but need a hand

to hold when I stumble,

when inevitably I fall,

for this milky onyx rain blinds me

keeps me feeling insane.

Show me the way through to the light,

these shadows they do give me

quite the fright.

Lead me to the sandy shores where life cascades

like rainbow filtered waterfalls.

Another remarkable composition. I love when repitition is done well - seemingly leading the reader gently by the hand . . .

Again, this speaks in a tone not necessarily woeful or hopeless, but more of an awareness of the path ahead, where the pitfalls lie, yet also knowing the possibilities of light and joy. "Show me the way through the shadows/I know the way but need a hand"

This is beautiful work. I love your style. There is one very close to me in my life who also suffers from bipolar disease. I wish for him an outlet like this.

Bravo!
