Audrey

Audrey

A Poem by valerie
"

no, this isn't about audrey hepburn.

"
she twists her hair into identical braids
and ties them down with yellow ribbons
she writes tales of love & courage
in sidewalk chalk on her driveway
she believes the purest songs
are the ones sung around a camp fire
she goes out stargazing every night
and counts constellations on her toes
she calls Seattle her hometown
but she has never been there.
