Sarcasm For $300, Alex

Sarcasm For $300, Alex

Another that you won't read or review.

I’m heavy on the sarcastic
And I guess I should be
Apologetic but I can’t bend
The pride to the will of others.
Covers over bare feet,
Gateway portals to unseen
Treasure troves. So I’m
Heavy on the keep-it-to-
Yourself and don’t-look-
At-me. Modesty and mocking
Are tools best kept sharp.
Shock me awake, gotta stay
Fresh and alert and always
Prepared to move on, to move
Up. I’m shadow boxing. Taking
My paces. Ready for winds to
Blow the sails in any direction.

Journal-entry style ramblings
Don’t make me unique, I always
Say seek and ye shall find. Funny
How that saying can bind.

Cheese binds, too, or so I'm told. I just stopped by this acidic, intelligent poem so you would think I read and reviewed it when I really didn't.

(Just so you know, to certain fetishists, bare feet are the portals to treasure troves, so please move those covers.)
