Smoke Rings
December 31, 2006 / 2:45 am

He's like Kenickie,
All knowing, all knuckles
And force and flirt
And fingers and facades.
Got me like Land of the Lost.
Lying, losing, lust, trust,
Or lack thereof. Thief in
The night taking turns
Turning me, molding me,
Making me mechanical.
Opening the orchid, owning
Old feelings like they were
Facts. Full of fond friendly
Nights, nonsense names. Notice
I'm a sinner sinning, sighing.
Smoke rings and rare real
Emotions echoing Heaven and Hell.

I love your writing style. Do you do a lot of spoken word? This has a very smooth rhythm, and I enjoyed reading it.
