Spring Cactus

by Lady Valmar

Your pink cloves are just as beautiful as flower petals.  Your smooth surface is like soft human skin.  Your color as green as the moss upon the rocks in Ireland.  Your raised limbs seek sunlight like a hungry baby bird seeks food from its mother.  Oh sweet cactus, without thorns to prick my tender hands, you never give life up when I forget to water thee.
