If Winter Permits
by Lady Valmar
Within the snowy slopes sleeps an icen dragon. Like the sharp ice his mane extends with a silhouette of steam for size. His scales glitter like crystal in the light and glow gruesomely in the darkness. Claws of steel and rock so strong, so fierce, little would take to die at his might. Wings like a bat only frozen quite blue with icicles for feathers. And when he glares at his prey with his mightily gaze and those cold winter eyes, a fear unknown is sent down the spine. Soon, soon, as winter permits iced dragon shall take flight to go to the heavens and back down again. But fear not, for winter takes and gives what it wishes, and soon dragon will come down as winter smiles on. Soon water and snow will pelt upon him and scales of crystal turn into sand.
Perhaps it was just a memory...or a dream remembered.
