The Taint

The Taint

A Poem by The Valerian Legion
"

When all of it is still but a dream and the memory keeps you longing for what you cannot have you find yourself a shell and go fade away into it.

"
The Taint

By Blackstrike

We write songs about it.
We dedicate a day to it.
We tirelessly search for it.
But in the end does the hurt make it worth the search?

I stand at cross roads.
I see one leads to more toil.
I see another leads to bitterness.
But I cant turn away from the second. It tugs me to its breast.

He is not the one I blame.
He and I just could not work.
He left me with a broken heart.
But I blame love. Yes that I blame. Callus, empty mistress.

She betrayed me with false promises.
She took away my ability to think clearly.
She is a criminal, taking us into her schemes.
But I wont listen again to her lies. Romantic love is a lie.

God has to save me because I cant.
God must not let me chose to never love again.
God I am alone in my thoughts tonight.
But I am devastated and destroyed by the loss of him.

You must understand after all the pain, I cant see a way out.
You know if I could just be heard and seen it wouldnt be so bad.
You havent lived in my body and seen the lack of support I receive
But I will keep trying to know what is true. Its all Ive got.
