Despairing Rhapsody

Despairing Rhapsody

A Poem by The Valerian Legion
"

The thoughts banging in my head as I try to make it through tough times.

"

I’d do anything not to feel this.

The dead long hallways inside.

Barren roads I traverse with my bones.

In the silent screaming I make it black.

So that when the darkness comes I’m already ready.

I don’t wanna think about it but it comes anyways.

Vast skyscrapers inside of me. Oceans I can’t escape.

There has to be a light to find my way.

My true father you love me unconditionally.

When the man took what was not his to take...

Father I don’t blame you. I stayed when you said go.

My heart is weeping at the sight of these memories.

I don’t get it as its all a wire framed mess inside.

Please don’t leave me here in this barren land.

With the screaming and the red.

Bloated ink tapped designs across my heart.

Shed this mud and cleanse me anew.

So I can breathe again.
