Order of the Stars

Order of the Stars

A Poem by The Valerian Legion
"

Please darling will you take my hand and we can fly away from here? Into the deep oceans of the ever glades and happy days of melody

"

Order among the heavens, so many traces in the designs

Embrace a clarity of days long gone and winters passed

I sit awaiting your embrace as your black leather jacket slides on

Please darling will you take my hand and we can fly away from here?

Into the high winds of the ever glades and happy days of melody

I know we live in tragedy right now, a cast not of our own dies

Yes its hard to breathe but family shoes forced on are chain and balls to a system

The system shredding one another with a rusty blade and promoting passivity

Bags of rocks we carry on our backs for the sins of elders passing down our bloodlines

See the scatter wounds, scrapes and bruises but this is not self inflicted

Honestly denying we're human isn't our style

I see you’ve got pins sticking into your heart strings

Darling we can make it through this, our refuge is a strong apage place

Where we walk paths together and with a wholesomeness we seek from above

These dreams are tangible and we are brewing one ingredient at a time

I watch you blow smoke out of your pipe in the cold air

As it drifts upward it will touch the dark sky and pass on to the moon

Don’t you know he’s smiling down and pain isn’t strong enough to stop his love?

If I dye my hair copper and you wear your belt that’s too big...

We can dance under the tempo of a new tune

The one in which a heart is more than a paycheck

I saw your face, streaked with a raggedness I’ve not seen before

My heart met my toes as I held you tenderly, your eyes pained

I could promise a lot of things but only that moment that I love you and I’m here

See I was thinking of you when I wrote this tonight

My fingers stabbing keys onto a page that needed words

Life is what you make of it come tornado or spring sunshine

I didn’t chose my landing spot neither did you but here we are

Two sporks between us and a whole lot of pit-bulls surrounding us

Without a sword to fight back or a white flag we look above

Yes, no we’re not lucky, we’re blessed

The pillars of lies we’ve been forced to abide by their breaking down

For now we stand against the poachers who’d make us into fur coats

Make us husks of a unnatural way and take away our sanity

The house of cards is falling and the jack of spades is absent

Oh believe me we’re gunna be somebody

They won’t know what happens next

Stressed and tested, on bended knees we pray

You and me we’ve got a chance with this life

All we need is to look to unshakable ground
