Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden

A Poem by The Valerian Legion
"

Whatever your interpretations be may... may the truth be known that when you move on sometimes others don't get it and throw their lot into hateful ventures despite your honesty and openness.

"

I am the Iron Maiden

Rusty and Metal and Tall

I gaze out on my preface

Admist the clouds I see

The opening shores upon my gaze

Sifting time and the rivers glow

Raven ravine and the smoking mirrors

Dip into the icy depths and plead

Rapidly ascending up to heaven

Among the clocks ticking tide

The deepening rapture of my heart

Settling in the pace of the venture

Open my eyes, the giant wakes

Focus not on the wanting crash

Unrelenting the piercing light

About to see bombs explode

The intoxicating atmosphere beckons

Sizing thoughts like a bucket of smelts

Notice the choices made out loud

Purposefully hand in hand we go

Differences of opinion from squawks

Along with challenge comes reward

The scathing replies mean nothing

Shattering dynamics unrestful go

I am the Surrendered Human

Very little withheld in due course

Kneeling down I bite my tongue

Abandon this hateful plight

The loyalty was never sodden

Somberly we never stop looking up

Captain of the boat steers to

What use to be is over now

Moved on but think this be intentional

Abandon this hateful quest you be on

The truth is this isn’t about you

Soaking in your spiral now
