Welcome To High School

Welcome To High School

A Poem by Valendette

Everyday i see the same walls

the same teachers

the same halls

the same lunchroom

the same plates

the same students,

in a mindless state.

the same books

the same classes

the same bathroom

the same passes

the same ghosts,

that no one tries to see

the same gods,

that everyone wants to be

and everyday as i walk through that same door

I think to myself..

"Is it insane to want more?"

Ah the troubles of society today. This needs to be posted on every public school in america, its become so much of a monotonous and drudgery of a thing that no one wants to even learn anymore. Why would anyone want to when this is the place you'd need to do it at? I thought it was great, perfectly described it I think.
