Freedom

A poem on believing that freedom is not only a worldly concern, but one of self evaluation and reflection of one's own description spiritual of freedom.

FREEDOM, WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO ME? 

It means letting go and trusting 

in God,

knowing all is part of his divine plan. 

It means learning new ways of doing the same things, 

but, realizing we have a choice.

It means Loving with no conditions,

expecting nothing in return.

Loving oneself more and more. 

It means accepting the bad along with the good.

Breathing slower; taking baby-steps; mending the scars

Healing the pain, 

but feeling the rain,

washing us clean. 

Escaping the walls.

Allowing the falls,

to help make us stronger. 

It means believing in a better ME.

It means believing in a better YOU. 

It means believing in the HOPE that

Freedom Reigns in our hearts.

I'm too new to writing to give technical advice.. so I tend to just tell people what I feel when I read. I enjoyed reading your interpretation of the word Freedom. It's important to say that I don't agree on each and every point..but then again.. that's what this poem is all about.. letting us readers know just how YOU feel about this... and I would have it no other way.

My favorite part:

It means Loving with no conditions,
expecting nothing in return.
Loving oneself more and more.

Perfect choice of words here.. and with the rest.. it's very believable. Keep writing from your heart and stay true to yourself. Thank you for sharing!!
