I have often heard it said that there are three types of people in our lives Vaishali: Those that don't like us, those that tolerate us and those that celebrate our lives. Surround yourself with those that celebrate your life. They are the ONLY ones that really MATTER. Those that cheat us, lie to us, and treat us disrespectfully are amongst those that obviously do not like us, or do not know how to treat people. At any rate, they definitely don't celebrate our lives...If it took this person cheating you to realize the type of person you don't want to be, then I can see why you thanked them. For how would we learn anything without life lessons? Life lesson's are the BEST ways to learn! You are a mature, 15-year-old! Good for you!!!

hmmm....It's okay Vaishali :)
not your best though, but still very heartfelt and sad!
but this is what life is all about...moving on :)
As once in everyone's life a time comes, when the person whom you trusts the most will hurt you the most and then it depends upon you....for what matters more, the person or the hurting :)
I'm confused as to why you requested me read this again.
I take it as that I'm missing something when I read the poem.
I'm not sure. I sense a sardonic tone, but I have another idea.
The person, some how through their wrong doings (I get the impression), allowed you to open your eyes and change for the better.
So it's not necessarily sardonic or sarcastic, and it's not exactly sweet or nice.
Maybe it's just a humble thank you.
Tough, hard to face up to the true, any relationship change to some fashion, after you are lied to, lies are evil, they hurt the soul and take away the trust and confidence we had for the liar, and in a way the trust we have in all others can suffer because of it . Time can heal our soul and make us wiser from the lesson. Thank you for sharing, a great and honest write.
God bless you.
Wow.. it is horrible to thing of someone close to your heart cheating you.. but you have true spirit and have chosen to take the positive out of such a situation... I still feel pain through it but when people hurt us it is better to become a better person than repeat such behaviour such as getting even... the best revenge is just living a better life and moving forward!!! Your writing sends this message however I myself know that it is a tougher fight to believe it entirely from day to day.. I hope you find someone more true to your heart!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
I just read this again.
And now I'm looking back at my comment below and I'm ashamed of it.
I read it completely wrong - I think.
This isn't sweet. This is sarcastic! Right?
