A Dream

A Dream

A Poem by Vaida Ledzin

Give me back my freedom,

The one you stole last year.

Having forgotten the wounds,

Forgive my sins.

Erase my face from the memory,

The one you draw then.

And having smiled to the wind,

Fly away along the gray fields.

Untie my hands,

The ones you fastened firmly then.

And having prayed to the sun,

Shine like a star high above.

Give back my freedom,

Erase my face,

Untie my hands…

And create the love we had

That Day...
