Love, pain and truth?

Love, pain and truth?

A Poem by Vaida Ledzin

Oh, how sad are the black nights

Walking on the sleeping city streets

And how dark become our thoughts

If we’re unable to love …

Oh, how full of passion flowers die

Forgetting that somewhere there’s still a hope to live

And how strange become our days

If we don’t know the truth …

Oh, how painful move the clockwise seconds

Counting feelings of no return

And how much suffering a person endures

If he no longer believes in himself …

Oh, how are the nights, flowers and seconds

Walking, forgetting and counting

Our thoughts, days and feelings …

And what is all of this?

If only being lost we try to find -

Love, pain and truth?
