Wine and roses

Wine and roses

A Poem by Vaida Ledzin

From the old, time-forgotten drawer,

The faded photographs,

Old love poem,

With a charming smile of yesterday

Came back…

And the life came back singing hours,

Joining the bodies again…

My songs, my verses, night, wine and roses

Returned You to me again…

But now my empty hands

Looking for your body again

And like the wave of the crazy sea

Sends me back to the cruel reality…

Where I’m all alone among the walls of the room

Try to fix the memories,

Writing lines with solitude burning nails…

But tomorrow again photography, wine and roses

Will return You to me.
