Strangled Love

Strangled Love

Wanted to write from a new POV

Strangled Love

See him lurking in the dark

Hiding in the shadows of the

the day

Feel your heart beat faster

as his hands come nearer

Watch his hands tighten

around your neck

Feel his cold dead hands

take away every breath

inside you

Fighting for your life

your body asphyxiates

from terror and pain

Slowly your body will not resist

Inch by inch your body becomes heavier

Your lungs are popping from the pain

I wish you could see the terror

in your eyes

Your fear is my drug

The pure pleasure from your terror

Your tears of terror and of pain

Pure ecstasy for me

You should have loved me

You should n’t have said no

Now here’s what’s yours

Your pain is my pleasure

Your fear is my drug

Your death IS MY LIFE

Well-written! If this was in audio I bet I could feel the emotion pouring from the lines and I imagine the last three words "IS MY LIFE" would be screamed. And if it's a song, you know how a singer would sing with his normal voice, playing the tunes out but then as the song progresses it becomes rough around the edges? Well for me that's how it would be like :P

The anger in this poem is very tangible. Great poem, Ralph!

A powerful poem of anger and revenge. The description was strong and cold. I like the story in the words. A very good ending to a excellent poem. I like the mystery and feel of terror.

Fascinating. I like this point of view, as I do it often. You did a great job on bringing in feelings, showing a motive, and bringing a "shocking" conclussion. I am curious on how this makes you feel. If you could imagine the grip around her neck, the pain in her eyes....did you see the soul? I do love when the soul leaves the shell. it's orgasmic.

Regards,

Matthew
