One of Us

I was inspired by the song "What if God was one of us?"

One of Us

If You were on of us

would You feel our pain

in this world You created?

If You were on of us 

will your eyes stay wet

with tears of sorrow 

You will shed day and night?

If You were one of us

would you even understand

the pain in our hearts

or the sorrow in our eyes?

If You were one of us

who would you cry out to

as you cry yourself to sleep?

If You were one of us 

You would lose faith 

even in yourself

I like the logic of this poem. I wrote years ago. Bombs kill without conscious. What if we kill Jesus in the turmoil of war and hate. Your question is a very good question. I believe God and the Angels would be disappointed in the most of us. A outstanding poem.
