The Executioner

The Executioner

A Poem by RJM
"

The Left hand of the tyrant is the hardest to take down

"

The Executioner

Eyes without pity

Hands without mercy

You take the lives

of those who have erred

And still the tongues

of those who cry for justice

Oh you hand

of the tyrant!

When will you

see that neither

heaven  nor hell

Matter for the

tyrant on his throne

Power and money

the only things that

the tyrant cares of

Neither you nor I

matter for their

greed eyes and

leaden hands

When will you march

on our side?

For we wait

for your mighty

axe to cut the

tyrant!

When will you stand

up to the one who uses you?

For he uses you

for injustice still

Oh shameless murderer

when will you realize

that your own hand

Will be used to slay

you too

Used by those

whom you serve

oh so faithfully

I really like this piece. I must say I'm enjoying your style of writing. You take a random (or seemingly random) topic and make it into something remarkable. Nice work.
