Maya Angelou was a very inspiring woman. I didn't know her personally but I knew of her and what all she did for the world. She accomplish a lot in her life. Like being the first African American woman to be nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. She was the first African American woman to be a cable car conductor and the first African American to read a poem at a presidential inauguration in 1993 for president Bill Clinton.
She was a woman of many talents. For someone who never graduated from high school. She accomplished a lot like all the different languages she learned French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, and Fanti. And she received over 50 honorary degrees recognition of all her accomplishments. All the different awards that she received for her writing, screen play and music. Maya Angelou was a teacher of life. Maya taught us on how to be human and how to be the best you can be and treat everyone equally. She stayed on the new york paper back non- fiction best seller for two years the longest running record in the chart history. She was awarded metals by presidents Maya was one of a kind. There was no one else like her in the world. She has always been a activist for women and children to make it a better world for them. Maya leaves behind a great legacy.
