My ChildA Poem by Tiffany SA conversation between the Lord and I.I’ve tried, Lord; I’ve tried I’ve tried to take heed In your mercy and grace To follow your lead
I’m afraid that I’m lost My ground, it gave way It gave in beneath me My soul has been frayed
Don’t worry, my child, for I count your tears Don’t worry, my child, there is nothing to fear
For I made the world, the darkness and light How could I not tend to your life?
I need you, O LORD I want to believe That You’ll hold me close That You’ll never leave
Though I can be foolish As I yield to the lie That I don’t deserve Much more than to die
Trust in Me, child Abide in My love A love so abounding A love from above
Come to me, child You of little faith Come, lean in close Rest in my embrace
You know me, O LORD Each hair on my head Each thought on my mind Before its been said
Your love, it’s amazing So strong and so true Though I feel I may cry As I’ve not been made anew
So cry, child, cry Cry as you may But do not forget This beautiful day
For you will look back In a time of great might And remember when I, the LORD Shed grace on your life © 2013 Tiffany SAuthor's Note
