Dear daddy

Dear daddy

A Poem by Meg
"

A daughters note to her daddy who was killed by a druk driver

"
Dear daddy,
I miss you very much
When will you be coming home?
You were supposed to be home at 7
But now daddy, its 11.

There's a knock on the door daddy,is it you?
There are two men who say a few words
These men are in uniforms daddy, but why?
And now they've made mamma cry

They tell me you won't be coming home daddy
They say a man had been drinking to much
They say I don't have a clue
They tell me he hit you're car and killed you

Why would he do that daddy?
You have me daddy, you can't leave
Mamma's so sad her face is blue
But daddy, I know its not true.

Except now its 2 years later
And you still haven't returned
I guess I must face this harsh reality
And now I live in a nightmare of brutality.

It's too late to tell you I love you
Too late to hug you or kiss you
Because you're not coming back
And soon, I think mamma is going to crack

My heart is broken
So broken its impossible to fix
Mamma doesn't talk, only cry's
One day, I'll see you
And I know, that this is true.

Good bye for now daddy
But always remember daddy,
Even through the rain, slush and snow,
I love you more then you will ever know.
