If this is all life will ever be

With battered heels we take this path

And pushing through these trials each day

The sun will never rise

We all will fall away

To dream of such a morn' that stars provide enough light
We push the sun out of our skies and die for one pursued breath

This endless chasing of wordless chapters
Bring us to our knees

If this is all life can ever be

Then, god,why do we breathe?
