A Poem by Toni Nicole
"

A Song.

"

an open door,
a passing glance,
mindlessly, you walk right past.
a broken heart,
a darker shade,
and I can't make her go away.

It's so simple when we are alone,
when you wrap your hands around my throat...
It's so simple when you take the lead,
when I'm held down, all I can do is plead.

Another song,
Just one more game,
More occasions to never last.
A sudden fear,
That sullen tone.
I fear to find myself alone.

It's so simple when we are alone,
when you wrap your hands around my throat...
It's so simple when you take the lead,
when I'm held down, all I can do is plead.

Oh, sweet nothing,
sing to me again.
Oh, my darling,
am I holding onto pain?

Oh, sweet nothing.
You're everything tonight.
Oh, my darling.
Let's only do this right.
But,

It's so simple when we are alone,
when you wrap your hands around my throat...
It's so simple when you take the lead,
when I'm held down, all I can do is plead.

It's so simple when we are alone,
when you wrap your hands around my throat...
It's so simple when you take the lead,
when I'm so close, all I can do is breathe.
