One breath, too many.

One breath, too many.

A Poem by Toni Nicole
"

This poem was inspired by a dream.

"

I couldn't lift my head if I wanted to.
Drifting in and out of consciousness,
detatching and attatching to reality.
For the first time, I let you go.
A world, more beautiful than this one,
open doors right in front of me.
All the music could do to save me
was call me in closer.
Was one glance too much?
Was one breath too little?
In a world that consumed me,
I consumed everything.
And every thought only ascends me.
I want to never find the ground.
And if I never return to eyes,
believe me, my love.
I  loved you more than anything.
