Beckon & Call

Beckon & Call

A Poem by Toni Nicole

Pt. 1 o2.27

i was thrown by disbelief
to find in the mirror the face was not mine.
inside my eyes only your views.
your words from my lips
had posioned me too.
beckon and call,
i rise and i fall
in your eyes,
in your heart
and you tear me apart.
you whimsically laugh
as the sun fades away
i must leave as commanded
though there's no reason to stay.
no request.
and no plea,
for just plain simple me
and i wonder which path is forever.

Pt. o2.28

too much metal on my wrists
though through wrath, they decay
the truth from the roots
to my face, does betray.
do you sentence my life
with your ropes of soft words?
as the stars fall from high,
to assault all the birds...
i cry to my mind
as my lips are sewn tight.
perhaps in due time,
the words will spill right.
forboding ribcage
encasing my heart
now left unprotected
as seduction starts.
my eyes were so endless,
so dead set for you
but somehow I'd always known
this rose would fade blue.
