The death of beauty

The death of beauty

A Poem by A Stranger's Tale

Bathing in the moonlight gold,

Her hair full down from head to toe

Her longing eyes, so dark and brown

Such pity to see a lover’s frown

She who stares at the lonely stars

The distance between loves are always far

She walks out of her bedroom window,

Left crying eyes, tears seeped in pillow

Two hands held fast on a broken ledge

Her hearts a mourning

Worst than haemmorhage

One leg over the grey-like border

Anytime now it’ll soon be over

She places her soft hands against her heart

Gripping tighly, this world she’ll part

Pity was the only look in her eye

She never got to say goodbye

Bathing in the moonlight gold,

Her hair full down from head to toe

Her longing eyes, so dark and brown

Such pity to see a lover’s frown.
