The Tree That Crashes

“If a tree falls down in a forest and no one’s there to hear it, does it make a sound?”

“I fell down in a forest once,” said Gramps, “back in ‘Nam.”

“Was anybody there to hear it?”

But Gramps didn’t hear it because his hearing aid short-circuited.  

So his grandson never really made a sound.
