Lucky Rabbit's Foot

Lucky Rabbit's Foot

A Chapter by Smackey

“Son, it’s a rabbit’s foot,” said his father.  “I want you to have it.”

“Ew, gross,” said the child.  “Why would I want a rabbit’s feet?”

“It’s a well-known superstition,” his father explained.  “A lucky rabbit’s foot, white as silk, can grant you any wish you like.”

The child’s eyes widened.  “How many?” he asked.  “A bajillion?”

“Oh, no, son.  I'm sure asking for one is enough.  You don’t want to stretch your luck, kid.”

And so, the boy wished for a bajillion more rabbit’s feet.

And thus, opened up his own rabbit’s foot factory.

And remained inarguably prosperous for the rest of his life.

My old stepmother once made me throw mine out because it was a dead animal.
But trashing it never brought it back to life.
