Goodbye Notes.

Goodbye Notes.

A Poem by Shae

I feel so alone in this world.
I just don't seem to fit in.
I don't know where I came from.
I wish this madness would end.
I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused,
and I'm sorry for all the grief.
I'm thinking of my goodbye..
I'll try to make this brief.
To my love,
  my child's father,
  you haven't really been there,
  so I won't even bother.
To my best friend,
 that which you are indeed.
 but to these signs,
 you should have heed.
 I'm dying now,
 and you didn't even bother.
 but I guess it's alright,
 because neither did my father.
Now it's to you, my one and only dad.
You sure know how to get on the wrong side,
and make even the happiest person mad.
Do you know all this pain,
 all the troubles I've seen?
 Now, no thanks to you,
I'll be found somewhere along the dene.

A dene is a sandy stretch of land or dune thing near the ocean. It's an Old English term.
