DOOM DOOM DOOM DOOM

A Poem by Shae
"

Titles are overrated.

"
we reap in silence
grow in hell
we'll surely die
but only time will tell
as life goes on
we fall apart
ripping open
our broken hearts.
I left your side
you ripped my dreams
and tonight it feels like
I'm tearing at my seams
that love was unshakeable
on a foundation of rock
but it unraveled so quick
like an old worn-out sock
We're living in the present
but it's just like the past
only this time,
There's no turning back.
How do we escape?
Where do we go from here?
We're all left wondering
If freedom is anywhere near.
Life is confusing.
Nothing is ever fair.
Everything gets broken,
and it never gets repaired.
People say "love"
But I love hate.
They say look above
but I see a locked gate.
Maybe help will come.
Tomorrow isn't sure.
Life is almost over,
but they still haven't found the cure.
Tears are the proof of life.
This is very true.
It could end so quickly,
but that choice is for you.

The meter was a little quirky, but the feel of it was great. You did a good job of keeping it fast paced and intense, and most of all, I freaking LOVE the title, so great job.
