RememberA Poem by unspokenpainPoetry Speaks
I think about that kiss every day.
Our hands were locked so tight, as if afraid of its escape. I felt her hand slowly fade through mine, as it began to rest upon my cheek. Her moonlit crimson lips held a single hair during a fall formed breeze. I remember that night sky silk occasionally fell yet never hid her ocean colored eyes. I remember the day we each played thief and stole more than intended from both our lives. I remember it well. Everyday I run it through my mind, leaving and never changing not even a single part. I repeat it word for word as if afraid of the day it might escape. Years may have passed, but our eyes met once again. How our hands must have been magnets, as none have ever pulled as close this fast. Feelings were different but not that much, not compared to what was. I recreate that time we kissed every day, because remember I can't; that's what I've learned. Her eyes were always green but oceans aren't. Night skies are black yet her hair was never dark. We both agree about the kiss, but she says their was no red that night upon her lips. How fleeting my memory must be, for me to change the color of her eyes. I tried to remember that time every day, afraid to let it escape. Only to learn I won't ever remember... Only recreate.
