Erythroplakia

Erythroplakia

A Poem by Laura Ex

I can see my long, beautiful hair
Falling
To
The
Ground
Leaving me with uneven palletes
Of
Ugly
Unfortunate
Truth
Hopefully we caught it in time
Do
You
Believe
Yourself?
Hope, a ridiculous vague fantasy
The
Statistics
Never
Lie
I’m just a statistic for the doctors
To
Wait
And
See
Will I survive?
We’ll
Find
Out
Soon
This is just like a game
For
Those
Supposed
Gods
Dispicable, I deem them
They
Screw
With
Minds
I’m expecting the worst
A
Painful
Cold
Death
I hate how I can’t control
My
Hair
Falling
Out
As I focus on the vanity
I
Hold
Inside
Me
I’ll miss you all, as I fall
Into
Death’s
Warm
Arms
I hope you don’t miss me
