Making Room for Love

Making Room for Love

A Poem by Laura Ex

Reconstruct
Can’t self-destruct
Some assembly required
Disbelieve
You feel for me
Selfishness retired
Accepting this
Un-emptiness
More difficult than shown
Throw away
My fears and say
These bounds are all but known
Overcome
This endless numb
My hatred does consume
But through love and trust
We can thrust
Out hate to make more room
