The Murder in my Mind

The Murder in my Mind

A Poem by Laura Ex

The murder takes place in a scene so calm
And ends with only evidence to burn
He washes the blood and sin from his palm
Sickened, his thoughts do plague his mind to church
And from that moment on, his hand does yearn
To saw and to cut and to rule in hell
Ignoring the laws, he gives no concern
When he’s left alone with only a shell
Of himself; now, in pain, he’s forever to dwell.

Laura Ex
..it's a working title? :P
i wrote this as an assignment..ish for english, actually. to follow the pattern [i believe alexandrine] of Lord Byron's Childe Harold's Pilgrimage. ababbcbcc. iambic pentameter with the last line being iambic hexameter. help with the title possibly? it's just one stanza, maybe i'll add more to it and make it a story.
