Friendship Pressure

Friendship Pressure

A Poem by Laura Ex

The pressure of the world decided
To lay upon my back today
It’s pushing me down and I can’t
Bring myself to face anything
I see you and your tear stained face
I realize it’s my fault, but I tell no lies
I want you to hate me so I can breathe easy
At night and not worry about your wandering sight
To find it’s way to my body designs
I always say I hate when your eyes stray
Out of line and take my pain too literally
For I’m the only one who deserves it.
