I'm Like a Lonely, Burning Town

I'm Like a Lonely, Burning Town

A Poem by Laura Ex

    The oppressing sky
Was looming down
    All across
The lonely town
    No children running
All around
    What a lonely,
Lonely town

    The chilly winter
Shot a breeze
    Slowly the young girl
Will freeze
    She cries and still
No one sees
    Slowly, surely
She will freeze

    The swirling lies
Stabbed your heart
    All the while
You fall apart
    Don’t you love her
Don’t even start
    She’ll leave you here
To fall apart

    Her life is only
Full of tears
    She knows what
She truly fears
    Crying out
Over years
    She’s the one
She truly fears

i'm uploading everything i have in my poem book, this is not one of the better ones. i realize that, although constructive criticism is happily accepted, try not to be too harsh.
