Self-love

Self-love

A Poem by Laura Ex
"

Sometimes... people are so selfish.

"

Spinning, revolving

Heartbeats stop

It only hurts to live

Worry not, no duress for you

Until you involve yourself

Whole-heartedly

No heartedly

For you matter at all costs

The cost of my trust

The cost of my life

Yours is not failing

So you care not, only self-love for you

Confusingly

Confusing me

For i matter at one time

The time for you.

That was wonderful. Talk about highlighting the selfish part of love. I related to this and maybe I am reading to much into it, but for me it rang with truth. Kudos. Barb

This is good. I like the structure and flow of it, good diction, very nice. I really like how "Confusingly/ Confusing me" flows as well. Awesome write.
