HeartsA Poem by Laura Exquick little poem written after a test in psychology. :]I'll breathe flames into your lungs, Consume who you are; Put all your pain Straight in your heart The aching relief Like earthquakes in hell Split open your soul Where the darkness does dwell As it pinches and burns, The heartache increase Leave you lifeless and broken Beauty, the beast. From once so loving To ignorant thoughts, Not thinking at all Brought this panic along. Stick to the truth or the safe lies Because once it's believed There is no place to hide If thought to be gone Or pushed far away, Wait 'till the night And here comes the pain The hopeless romantic Is hopeless indeed Forgiveness and mercy this hurt doth not heed Great judgement thrust out From demons above This heart is surrounded No air, no life, no love. © 2009 Laura ExReviews
