Society is our bakery

Society is our bakery

A Poem by Ed Ward
"

A current issue in the world is putting gender roles on people especially children and sense beat poems usually ppl expressing their anger about something in society through confusing metaphors, here.

"

Gender roles, a rule and way of society

Maybe but i see it as a cruel metaphor or joke about how life is

Each and every person is like a pastry roll

Crisp new and fresh out of the oven

And society is our bakery

then the roll is forced to be filled with jam

This jam is based of off how the rolls form is

So the roll is filled with either strawberry jam or blackberry jam

And their are only these two jams

You can not make a new filling

Whether it'd be another jam or something other

You can not mix these fillings to accommodate one's taste

Because strawberry and blackberry are the only two options

You are either going to be nice and sweet

With natural sugar and considered weak in taste

always a pleasing shade of red

Or you have to be dark and bitter

Strong with flavor and overpowering
