The Void

The Void

A Poem by New Age Love
"

Not all voids are empty, and not all need to be filled.

"

What does it take to fill a soul?

Shells of people live in blissful ignorance,

chasing happiness defined by others.

What if a person has an unrequited love for themselves;

for society, for life, for universal kindness.

There are many who say that to receive love, you have to love yourself.

But what if you already love yourself?

What if not enough of the world can reflect your passion for things.

A magic that is seen throughout experience,

A thrilling conversation had with friends.

Loving what lies in my mind and my heart,

perhaps that is not enough.

How do you fill a soul when your life is already full.

The only thing missing is what you want.

Reaching for a hand that is not there,

how long until your hand stops grasping at nothingness?

I've filled my soul, I've filled my life.

The void is all that is left to be filled.

When you can see emptiness as fulness and fulness as emptiness, your questions will all be answered.
