My little world of friends...

My little world of friends...

A Poem by Stef Outsiders

For life without them
would be an empty shell

the world is lonely enough

but without them is it hell...

My Reason who I am today
keeping my feet on the ground
telling me to 'Shut up'
and 'Grow some balls'
not that I have any
but worth being told..
In all my chaos
they shine
my little stars in the sky
when the blackness hugs me most
they bring me forward
and kick blackness to the curb..
Even when my tears
are still fallen
hands reach out
and turn them into diamonds..
"No more tears"
they say
"no more of this destruction"
"Time to let go
time to fly"
words said so easy
but .. there is always a but...
"Don't give me a but,
the only but i'll be kicking is yours"
I laughed and I smiled
I like to see them try
"Don't tease"
wiggling my bum in there faces
oh I love my little world
full of humor
and warm embraces
where would I be if I didn't have them
I love you
my dear friends!

Oh, shut up woman and give us a hug. Seriously though this is a wonderful poem. A brilliant salute to friendship and caring. A marvelously handled, funny poem, but with the humour laminating the seriousness at it's core. A wonderful read. Thank you for posting it.
