Barbarian Rose

Barbarian Rose

A Poem by Stef Outsiders

I found you

Laying under a dead tree

covered in a beautiful red

and your killer smile

hypnotizes  me...

I fight it

I fight a feeling

that I may be under your spell

and I wondered

who could leave

a delicate child..

for i see you lick your lips

but i was not ready for your deadly kiss

what are you?

Barbarian Rose...

I'm not afraid of what's to come

Barbarian Rose

I'm not afraid of the darkness I see

Barbarian Rose

is this the love that lead me to you

Now I'm afraid, of a Barbarian Rose...

You stand tall

blocking out my sun

like a new eclipse had begun

I took your hand

and it burned like hell

was my life ending

I couldn't tell...

Beautifully expresses those self-doubts thta come with a relationship that tugs at our heart yet presents big challenges as well... the Barbarian Rose - hard and beautiful, rough and fragrant, wild and irresistible...
