Toxic whispers

Toxic whispers

A Poem by Stef Outsiders

You lured me to a nightmare,

Lured me into endless life of hell,

Never there to help me,

Never to pick me up if I fell,

You'd rather lie, and filled me with your toxic whispers!

Man's golden tongue has lead many into this state of being. promised words often fall short of reality but of course the giver of those words collects his bounty leaving the other strandard and starved for what was promised. This poem reminds me of the power of words and why we should be responsible when using them.
