How can you pretend?

How can you pretend?

A Poem by Stef Outsiders

Babe if this was meant to be,

this anchor wouldn't be pulling me down

you would be holding me up

instead of letting me drown

how can you pretend?

when something isn't right

I see it behind your eyes

it will catch up to you in the end

all these endless lies...

how can you pretend?

I scream at you for the last time

had enough of being lead a stray

had enough of you bleeding me dry

everything we had

has been buried alive

I'm the only one crawling out

to save myself from a petty life.
