Bubbles

Stuck in this bubble you were

Stuck in your own thoughts

In your own world

A world that didn't exist

And as everyone moved forward you stayed

In your bubble

Not knowing which direction to move

You stayed

You stayed stuck in this one spot

Wanting to move forward but unwilling to see where it would take you

As if you said you wanted to explore but afraid of what was on the path

Afraid where it will take you

Because all you knew was your bubble

All the promises and words you spoke to me meant nothing

Because they never left your bubble

You constantly told me you would change and move on

But you just stayed

Almost like a snowflake

I chased you

Over and over

And when i finally caught you

You disappeared

Back into your bubble

Even though people were there with you

People who had stepped out of their bubble

Standing with you knowing you could leave

Soon they left

Giving up hope

But i still stood there

Urging you to move faster because soon

Everyone would be out of sight

And when i stood by you all i did was get hurt

Hurt over the words you spoke to me

All the broken promises you said you would keep

Keep to him

Keep to them

The least you could was respect them

You didn't even bother to go bury them

Not once did you grieve over them

Not once did you think that what you did was wrong

As if they meant nothing to you when you meant the world to them

Because your bubble and personal satisfaction came before anything

I soon realized that i didn't need you

Because all you did was break people so you could be at the top

And when you broke them you didn't even bother to look back

Almost as if you stabbed them then left

Everyone was a tool to you

You were only able to move up but never further

You tried to look further into what each path had for you

Only to fall right back down to the bottom

Begging for our forgiveness

Then making the same mistakes

Soon enough everyone left and you were alone in your bubble

The bubble that held you back from everything and everyone

At this point you broke everyone so much they completely ignored you

You knew exactly what you had

But you didn’t know how much you’d miss it when it was gone

That bubble of yours

Still with you to this day

Still never grieved

Never looked back

And never cared

We let you go

Go into your own world where you were “wanted” and “loved” by those who were only playing you

You were foolish

Foolish to believe no one was there when everyone was
