The Angel and The Demon

The Angel and The Demon

A Poem by William Wolfshead
"

Poem

"
he stands strong below
in loneliness and pain
then light reaches down
and calls forth his name
it brings him above
to envelope him whole
an angel of radiance
holy and unbound
has stolen his heart
centuries bound
once shadow cloaked
and dripping in blood
now disrobed of hatred
with but a glance of her eyes
and a kiss gentle as silk
a demon is freed
and tortured no more
