Alone

Alone

A Poem by William Wolfshead

When times are Dark
And Frigid and Cold
You see a Light which keeps you Warm
It is not a light of Hope or Grace
But Hatred instead to take your Heart's Place

Interesting write. I wasn't really expecting the end, which is a plus. Predictable poems irritate me. I thought it was a little strange you capitalized some of the words. Do you have a reason for doing so? Anyways, I look forward to seeing what you write in the future. Good work with this brief prose poem. :)
*Btw, you forgot to capitalize "It" in the fourth line. Consistency is prized for a reason. ;)
