Bed Fellows

Bed Fellows

A Poem by William Wolfshead

I traveled to the Gates of Time
To see what was and whence
I saw inside a bleeding pool
a tale of my past lives wealth
i wished to see what love would hold
and the view only came up blank
then broke out
the pool did fork
and showed me that to come
no love have i to keep me warm
in the frozen waste ahead
but hate and fire and an endless thirst
shall keep me in my bed
